Ernie Melichar Ernie Melichar, director of planned giving at The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, was born in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in 1936. He came to the United States in 1946 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1955. He received an Associate of Arts degree from Morton College, and a Bachelor and Master of Science degree from the Mcdiii School of Journalism, Northwestern University. He is married to Phyllis Dorociak and has three children. His business experience includes 32 years in community and business publishing and financial services. He is a retired officer of the United States Air Force. His civic and cultural activities include: Past President of the Moravian Cultural Society, Past President, Riverside Township Gold and Blue Committee; Past Vice President, Riverside Community Fund; Life Member, National Guard Association of Illinois; Rotary Club of Chicago and other social and business clubs. In
addition to his regular duties at The John Marshall Law School, he is also
Coordinator of the school’s Czech/Slovak Legal Institute. Ernie is currently
the Council of Higher Education’s president. |
