James Bolling Slepicka James Bolling Slepicka is a recent graduate of the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business, with an MBA in Finance & Strategy. He holds a BA from Harvard University, and studied at Charles University while a Harvard student in the Central & Eastern European Studies Program in 1995. During Jim's six-month program in the Czech Republic, he served as a liaison for an U.S. trade publisher expanding into Central Europe. Jim’s research activities included meetings with Commercial Attaches at the Czech Embassy in Washington, D.C. and officials of numerous trade promotion offices throughout the region. While in Prague, Jim also worked with L.E. Holdings, led by fellow Harvard graduate William Lobkowicz. L.E. Holdings was established to manage the art collection, castles, and various properties restituted to the Labkowicz family alter the Velvet Revolution. Jim’s activities focused on financial and market analysis, and included projects with the Labkowicz Pivovary and Zaniek Nelahozeves. Jim’s international business and market strategy experience in Prague formed the foundation for a consulting career as a strategic advisor to senior management of Amoco Corporation and clients of PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Strategic Change practice. Visiting Prague last month, Jim became engaged to Kristine Hinrichs. |
