Michael P. Song

Michael P. Song is a professor of law at The John Marshall Law School. He specializes in the areas of Constitutional Law, Civil Rights Law, and Comparative Law.  He is co­director of The John Marshall Law School Fair Housing Legal Support Center and executive director of The John Marshall Law School Fair Housing Legal Clinic. He regularly speaks nationwide at trainings and conferences on fair housing law. 

He is also the director of The John Marshall Law School Czech/Slovak Legal Institute, which organizes legal study tours to the Czech and Slovak Republics, maintains a sister school relationship with the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University in Brno, conducts continuing legal education programs for the Czech Bar Association, sponsors a student exchange program with the Faculty of Law at Masaryk University, and produces a week-long class in the Czech Republic for new Czech and Slovak lawyers in American law and dispute resolution. 

Professor Seng was a Fulbright Professor at University of Maiduguri in Nigeria in 1983-84, and he taught a course in American Constitutional Law for one semester at Masaryk University in Brno in 1996. He has recently been named a Fuibright Senior Specialist, where among other activities, he will serve as a consultant to the Economics University in Prague to set up a program in American legal studies. 

He received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Notre Dame. He grew up on a farm in Lost Nation, Iowa.
