Michaela Kunc Sternstein Michaela Kunc Sternstein, Field Representative/Attorney for the American Medical Association (AMA) was born in Berwyn, Illinois in 1970. She received her undergraduate degree (B.S. in Biology) at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas in 1992 and her Juris Doctorate at lIT-Chicago Kent College of Law in 1996. She is married to Joel Sternstein. Michaela practiced in the area of medical malpractice defense for 4 and 1/2 years prior to being employed by the AMA, where she currently works in the area of advocacy/lobbying. She has been a member of the Council of Higher Education’s Board of Trustees since 1996. In addition to serving on CHE’s Board of Trustees, she is also on the Executive Committee for the Chicago Chapter of the Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences (SVU). Michaela is fluent in the Czech language, as it was her first language, and has been traveling to the Czech Republic (former Czechoslovakia) since the age of four. |
