Vence J. Zolman Vence J. Zolman, consultant, operates his own consulting business, V.J. Zolman and Associates. Born in Prague, he completed his high school education in the former Czechoslovakia. He was one of many others who were excluded from college studies for political reasons in his native country. He came to the United States as a refugee after the Soviet-led invasion in 1968, and worked in the steel industry for 5 years in order to save enough money to further his education. He earned his B.S. degree in Economics in 1978 and his MBA in Finance at the DePaul University Graduate School of Business in 1983. Prior to establishing his own business, Vence was employed in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago and at Harris Bank. He is the current president of the Alliance of Czechoslovak Exiles in Chicago and a commercial member of the Midwest Association of Golf Course Superintendents. He is married with one child. Vence is the current treasurer for the Council of Higher Education. |
